I do have much nicer wheel guns that I could be shooting on a cold 29 degree Sunday afternoon. I'm sure any of my S&W or Ruger wheel guns would of set them off first time around. Didn't expect this but I don't blame the ammo. I had two misfires with the Target & Range ammo? They did go off on a 2nd time around. At yesterdays range outing I shot 100rds American Eagle 158g lead round nose, 50rds of American Eagle 130gr FMJ copper, and 50rds of Federal Target & Range 130gr FMJ copper. light weight hammer to light hammer spring to a lightweight Beryllium Copper firing pin? I pretty much have 100% reliability with Federal ammo. Could be a number of things why this happens i.e. It is temperamental at times with certain brands of ammunition that don't need a 2nd time around to go off. Stays center mass which is all I care about.

Owners manual states +P ammunition is NOT RECOMMENDED. Made for carrying and not shooting a lot. Very light weight 5 shot revolver with a one piece frame, pinned barrel, bobbed trigger, and sharp edges. Nothing fancy for sure, just a small company trying to get back on it's feet.

My receipt says I bought this revolver in 04/2000 for $189 plus tax & shipping from my FFL Dealer. Of course we all know it went back to Charter Arms afterwards. In between company restructuring (bankruptcy) Charter 2000 emerged from Charter Arms. Yes I said it correctly, Charter 2000 (Charco 2000, Inc.). Once or twice a year I like to brush the dust off my computer room desk gun, Charter 2000 Undercover 2" 38spl hammerless.
